About us
Mindy is a certified teacher with a Master of Arts in Teaching special education from Liberty University. She has taught in a self-contained, multi-categorical classroom and in a resource room setting. She is a fierce advocate for her students and for her own children with special needs.
James is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor at Redemption Counseling in Cary, NC, and an advocate for parents of special needs children.
The James Foundation was formed because of their experience and realization that there is a growing need in our communities in the areas of employment, advocacy, mentoring, training, and accessibility for young adults transitioning from school-based programs into adult roles. There simply are not enough adequate opportunities after high school. The James Foundation is committed to fostering change to provide more opportunities for these young adults.
Our mission is to create opportunities and provide training and employment opportunities for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities that allow full participation within their communities.
